She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth "Bessie" King and James B. "Bert" King; her husband Hix W. Barnes; her siblings, Gladys, Iona, Janice, Billie and JB; her son Bobby; and her grandson Douglas.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara DuShane (Charles Willis); her granddaughter Kimberly DuShane; her great grandchildren, Joseph DuShane (Allison Layton), Ashley Jourden (RJ), Heather Barnhart (Michael) and Lindsey Hamer (Scott); and her great great grandchildren, Rylan and Addyson.
A committal service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Et the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75081). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
