He was predeceased by : his wife Jo Ann Gilbert. He is survived by : his children, Sandra Lynn Warner (Gary) of San Angelo, Randy Marshall Porter (Jane) and Danny Ray Porter (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Jeffery Sessom, Jason Gibson, Anthone Salgren, Brenden Porter and Sterlin Porter. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous extended family.
