She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Copeland and Mildred Copeland. She is survived by: her husband John Henry Benes; her children, Dedra (Alfred Leal), Jesse Lee Benes (Ginger) and Corey Benes (Mandy); her pet Reba; her grandchildren, Kl'Cee (Randy Niehues), Kayla (Dustin Sessom), Jomikel (Chelsea Leal), Jesse Lee Benes Jr. (Ceceley), Paula-Marie Benes, Kaci Clark (Justin), Austin, Julie Clark, Gage Benes and John Ryan Benes; her great grandchildren, ShaeLee Leal, JoAidyn Leal, Daxton Sessom, Brentlei Niehues, Jolee Leal, Declan Sessom, Liam Niehues, Guinevere Benes, EmberLee Niehues and Jesse Lee III; and her in-laws, Howard Fred (Melody Benes), Merry Carol (Kenny Stuard) and Lonnie Jay (Becky Benes). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and several lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shaffer Funeral Home - Sherwood Way (1939 Sherwood Way, San Angelo, TX 76901). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ivy Cemetery (Christoval, TX 76935).
