He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lopez and Rita Lopez; and his brother Mike Lopez. He is survived by: his children, Brandi Lopez of Vinton, IA, Robin Lopez of Cedar Rapids, IA and Pete Lopez Jr. of Fort Madison, IA; his granddaughter Destiny Lopez of Cedar Rapids, IA.; his siblings, Mary Lopez of Sonora, TX, John Lopez (Betty) of Sonora, TX, Josie Emiliano (Fernando) of Sonora, TX and Arturo Lopez (Louise) of Palestine, TX; and his cousin Juan Martinez of Lubbock, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM. A burial was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at the Sutton County Cemetery.
