Shirley R. Whitesell Cheesman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley R. Whitesell Cheesman in San Angelo, Texas, who passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Whitesell and Mary Johnson Whitesell; her husband Joe Cheesman; her siblings, Helen Clevenger, Charles Whitesell and Arnel Whitesell (Bonus Kid); and her sister-in-law Mary Cheesman.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherri Jo (David Hollebeke); her granddaughters, Lacy Amyx and Star Burlew (Rory); her great grandchildren, Mia and Kasey; her siblings' children, Jay Merrill (Christy) and Lisa Davis (Jeff); and her sisters, Dortha Hanna and Faye Meeks. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harper Funeral Home (2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, TX 76904). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at the Belvedere Memorial Park (3504 Arden Rd, San Angelo, TX 76901).
