He was predeceased by: his father Alfredo G. Rivas Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Norma Rivas; his mother Sylvia T. Guzman; his sisters, Jeanette R. Gregorio, Rosalie R Salas and Rosemarie Rivas; his children, Stephanie N. Ruhd, Genevieve M. Guerrero and Alfred D. Rivas, III; and his grandchildren, Joe Guerrero IV, Ethan Vasquez and Ava Jo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alamo Funeral Chapels (624 N Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78215). A rosary will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church (1214 Stonewall St, San Antonio, TX 78211). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Charlotte Community Cemetery.
