She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cox and Phyllis Cox. She is survived by: her children, Melvin Jr. (Georgia) of Birmingham, AL, Linda (Larry) of Clute, TX, Anthony of Houston, TX, Everne (Jeff) of Simpsonville, SC and Anita of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the F. E. Lewis Memorial Chapel (811 S WW White Rd, San Antonio, TX 78220). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Westridge Park Baptist Church (522 SW 42nd St, San Antonio, TX 78217). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
