He was predeceased by: his father Fernando Mendez Sr.. He is survived by: his husband Donny Bryant; his mother Maria Elena Mendez; and his siblings, Fernanda Gutierrez, Susie Ann Paredes, Alma Ortiz, Laura Medina, Florie Mendez, Lucy Arizola, Mario Mendez, Fernando Mendez Jr., Richard Mendez and Jimmy Mendez.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Camero Funeral Home (20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073). A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 6:00 AM at the First Memorial Park Cemetery (20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
