In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Billie had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Billie may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Schafer and Mary Schafer of Gainesville, TX; her husband Douglas Wayne Syverson; and her son Michael William Syverson. She is survived by: her son Wayne Douglas; her daughter-in-law Becky; her daughter Lorraine; her son-in-law Jack Curtis; her son Albert; her daughter-in-law Rose; and her granddaughters, Marcella, Janie and Genevieve. She is also survived by her six great grandchildren along with extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
