He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Klein and Aselee Klein; his wife Betty Klein; and his daughter Karrie Klein. He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Mills (late Brad), Carol Bryant (Andy) and Patricia Smith (Richard); his grandchildren, Cassie Perry (Chris), Gary Hunter Jr., Tasha Smith, Tyler Smith, Tabitha Mills (Greg) and William Bryant; his great grandchildren, Mathew Perry, Hunter Perry and Westin Mills; and his brothers, Frank Klein Jr. and Bobby Klein (Barbara). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
