He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Charles Posey and Johnnie Lee Harbison; his wife Nancy Posey; his son Gary Posey; his sisters, Virginia Hendricks and Betty Pettigrew; and his aunt Deborah Craig.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Posey II, Rick Posey and David Posey (Kathi Posey). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
