He was predeceased by : his daughter Sherry Lynne; his parents, Elmer and Lorraine; and his brother Darrell. He is survived by : his wife Aurora; his children, Paul (Lesliann), Joseph (Jo), Tanya (Jon), Carmen, Gaby (Greg) and Vanesa (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Evan, Jordan, Nicolas, Madison, Leonida and Lilo; and his siblings, Richard, Gary, Judy and Vicki.

Viewing was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northeast - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels (14315 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
