He is survived by : his wife Dolores Ramos Cortez; his children, Angela Cortez, Edward Johnathan Cortez, Saphira Rose Cortez and Evan Dez Cortez; his mother Sylvia Cortez; and his siblings, Graciella Williams (Randy), Leticia Cortez (Jimmy Cardenas), Veronica Cortez (Jose Ramirez) and Diana Marie Cortez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
