With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elmer R. Courtney (San Antonio, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 95. He is survived by: his wife Bessie E. Courtney; his children, Elizabeth McMillion (Dwane), Elmer Courtney Jr. (Sally) and Michael Courtney (Liz); his grandchildren, Elisha, Simon, Aaron, Molly and Jason; and his great grandchildren, Courtney, Mara, Abigail and Katherine. He is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South (1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
