He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Wetta and Della Wetta; his sister Zandra Wetta; his aunts, Patricia, Leona Brooks and Cathy; his uncle Wesley Moehring; and his grandparents, Willie, Erna Wetta, Warren and Nellie Heath.
He is survived by: his sister Heather Segrest (Nathan Segrest) of College Station; his nephews, Xander, Benjamin, Louis and George Segrest of College Station, TX; his uncle Gene Heath of Conroe, TX; his aunt Nellie (Curtis Casburn) of Katy; and his close friend Chris Rowan.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mission Park Funeral Chapels (3401 Cherry Ridge Dr, San Antonio, TX 78230). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chambers Chapel at Mission Burial Park North (20900 I-10, San Antonio, TX 78257).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests sponsorship of senior cats or dogs or donations of food and blankets to local animal shelters in his name.
