He was predeceased by: his parents, Albertine Zagorski Staffel and Gerald Staffel; his siblings, Gerald Staffel, Dr. Edward Staffel and Patricia Staffel Carter; and his son-in-law Steve Babb.
He is survived by: his wife Charline Staffel; and his children, Ferd Staffel Jr. (Jaycene), Laurel Staffel Babb, Charles Staffel (Susan), Paul Staffel (Lori), Bruce Staffel (Evelyn) and Elizabeth Staffel Moore (Mitch). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
