He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrique Piñero and Alina Piñero; and his brother Hugo. He is survived by: his wife Dora; his children, Iris, Erika and Martin; his grandchildren, Alexis, Martin Jr., Thomas and Milan; and his sister Nelly.
