She was predeceased by: her parents, Cipriano Valdez, Sr. and Isabel Perez Valdez; her former husband Joe S. Trevino; and her siblings, Ismael Valdez, Alejandro Valdez, Estela Trevino, Cipriano Valdez, Jr., Rosie Mendoza, Felice Jasso, Willie P. Valdez, Nancy Mendoza and Ofelia Valdez.
She is survived by: her husband Simon; and her siblings, Lina Cantu, Betty Apodaca, Margaret Lomas and Ernest Valdez.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the Holt & Holt Funeral Home (319 E San Antonio Ave, Boerne, TX 78006).
Later, she continued her work at a nursing home specializing in Alzheimer's care in San Antonio.
