He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hood and Hazel Hood; and his brothers, David and Robin. He is survived by: his sister Sue; his wife Maria Rosa; his daughter Patricia; his son-in-law Charles; his son James; and his grandchildren, Sarah (Chayne), Tim (Beatrice), Kaitlyn, James and Nickolas.
The military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the VA or your local animal shelter, reflecting Harold's dedication to service and love for animals.
