Ivan Castillo Obituary
Ivan Castillo, 21, went to his heavenly home on May 31, 2025, in San Antonio, TX. Born on August 29, 2003, in San Antonio, Ivan lived a life marked by individuality, strength, and compassion that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Ivan was educated through Fredericksburg NISD and Northside ISD. Throughout his school years and beyond, he remained true to himself—unapologetically unique and wild at heart. He never conformed to expectations or sought approval from others; instead, he embraced life with authenticity and courage. His vibrant personality and generous heart made him unforgettable to those fortunate enough to cross his path.
A new believer in Jesus Christ, Ivan carried his faith with quiet conviction. His spiritual grounding was evident in the kindness he extended to others and the strength he showed in every chapter of his life.
Ivan found joy in simple pleasures—time outdoors, immersing himself in music, and spending time with friends. These moments reflected his love for connection and celebration. Whether sharing laughter around a barbecue or losing himself in a favorite song, Ivan brought warmth and energy wherever he went.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother Estibaliz Rodriguez and her spouse Elias Rodriguez; his brother Juan Castillo and his spouse Bianca Castillo; half-sisters Lily Rodriguez and Casey Alvarado; stepsisters Camila Rodriguez, Alexia Rodriguez, and Idalis Rodriguez.
His memory is also cherished by grandparents Marco Munoz, Maria Munoz, and Rosa Castillo; aunt Azeneth Aguirre and uncle Leo Aguirre; aunt Amiriz Thibodeaux and uncle Justin Thibodeaux; uncle Marco Munoz; uncle Jimmy Castillo; and uncle Pepe Castillo.
