He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Williams and Rae Mae Williams; his daughter Juliet Johns; and his sisters, Thelma Williams, Velma Bryson, Tempie Moorehead, Lucretia Williford, Willie Mae Graham, Marjorie Black and Evelyn Tubbs.
He is survived by: his spouse Deola Williams; his sons, Stanley Williams (Stephanie), James Williams Jr. (Nerryl) and Alexander Williams (Sharon); and his brother Homer Williams Jr.. He is also survived by his three sons and their spouses; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Activity and Recreation Center (Normal, IL) where James was an integral part of this senior community.
