With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine (Jo) Ann Gilchrist (San Antonio, Texas), who passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Josephine departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Josephine. Though Josephine may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Morrison and Alice Morrison; and her husband Jon. She is survived by: her children, Kurt Andrew Gilchrist (Kathy) of Longview and Kathleen Anne Mueller (Wayne) of San Antonio, Texas.; her grandchildren, Katie Lauren Gilchrist, Jackson Reed Gilchrist, Elizabeth Keller-Ann Mueller and Claire Josephine Mueller; and her sister Betty Jean Gatlin of San Antonio. She is also survived by nieces, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Angelus Funeral Home Chapel (1119 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78215). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church (102 Lorenz Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
