She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Garland and Teresa Garland; her husband Thomas Watkins; and her brother Jack Garland Jr.. She is survived by: her son David Poist Jr. (Yolanda); her grandchildren, Jasmine, Courtney, Kayla, John and Kirra; and her siblings, Donna Miller, Terry Green and Larry Garland.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Slack Funeral Home (3871 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043).
