He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Reyes and Cora Diaz Reyes; and his brother Antonio Rogelio Reyes (Angela). He is survived by: his wife Leticia Zapata Reyes; his children, Lionel Reyes Jr. (Lori), Karen Arias (Fernando) and Anacani Reyes Tollinger (Ryan); his grandchildren, Sebastian Romero, Analisa and Alejandro Arias; and his sister Romelia Gonzalez (Jimmie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels (14315 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St John Neumann Catholic Church (6680 Crestway Rd, San Antonio, TX 78239). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266).
