She was predeceased by : her parents, Emilio Garcia and Carolina Garcia (Lupe Avila); her siblings, Henrietta Flores, ALice Gonzales, Carrie Morales, Miguel, Emilio Jr., Gilbert and Rudy Garcia; and her daughter-in-law Diana Avila.

She is survived by : her children, Daniel Avila (Irma), Glenda Loza (Leo), Roy Avila (Elaine) and Rodney Avila (late Diana); her siblings, Gloria Reyes, Sylvia Mitchell, David and Juan Garcia; and her grandchildren, Jeffery Avila, Roxanne Avila Escamilla, Gina Lydia Rode, Larry Loza, Christopher Avila, Vanessa Avila Thomas, Matthew Avila and Brandon Avila.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home (226 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Little Flower Basilica (1715 N Zarzamora St, San Antonio, TX 78201). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at the San Fernando Catholic Cemetery (746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237).
