She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Benford, Sr. and Mattie Mae Benford; her husband Robert Bright; and her siblings, Connie Hubert, James "Buddy Boy" Thomas, John "Dewey" Thomas, Andrew Benford Jr., Joanne Woodard and Vera March.
She is survived by: her children, Phil Stanley Scott, Jr. (Chelsea), Cristal Baltimore (Shelly), Richard Eugene Scott (Kenya), Genesis Bright, Israel Bright and David Bright; her grandchildren, Antwan Scott, SchVonne King, Tra Vonne King, Richard Scott, Jr., Keijon Scott, Derrick Hunt, Jr., Ryshai Vigil, Ryheem Scott, Sejal McKinney, Jazlyn McKinney, Zavier McKinney and Tiasia McKinney; her stepdaughters, Monique Bright, Joy Bright and Crystal Bright; and her great grandchildren, Paris King-James, London King-James, Miranda Carrasco, Mattie Scott, Jenesis Soto, Westin Scott, Ariyanna King, Prince King, Imari King, Nova King, Noelle Boone, Nylah Willis, Ryheem Scott, Jr., Ja'lei Scott and Lei'dee Scott. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
