With solemn reverence, we commemorate Nelda Faye Herrera of San Antonio, Texas, whose life came to an end on August 19, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jorge Navarrete and Ida Miller Navarrete; and her husband Pedro M. Herrera of Shafter. She is survived by: her sister Landa Rodriguez of Austin, Texas; her daughters, Nelda Denise Herrera Lujan (Enrique) and Elsa Denette Herrera Guzman (Carlos); her grandchildren, Danielle Marie Guzman of San Antonio, Pedro Enrique Lujan of San Antonio and Jorge Jesus Lujan of San Antonio; and her caregiver Angela. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Disabled American Veterans in the name of Nelda Herrera.
