He is survived by: his wife Kuei-Mei Sutherland of Mei's Beauty Salon; his daughter Tracey Mary Sutherland Whelan; his son-in-law Charlie Whelan; his grandchildren, Nicholas Robert Emmett Whelan, Fiona Mei Whelan and Moira Lusetta Whelan; his niece Carol Chuang (Joe Cheng); his great-nephew Ethan Cheng; his sister Pamela Hanson; his brother-in-law Gary Hanson; his brother Kit Sutherland; and his sister-in-law Sue Sutherland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
