He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Cree McBryde, Sr. and Cleo Leigh McBryde; his brothers, Neal Maddox McBryde and Ross Winston McBryde; and his siblings-in-law, Wilma McBryde and Blair Harden.
He is survived by: his brother Mac; his children-in-law, Michael, Chrissie, Lynn, Patrick, Millie, Theo and Oliver; his wife Betty Harden McBryde; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie McBryde and Bonita Harden; his sons, John Charles McBryde and James Mark McBryde; his daughters-in-law, Marla Peterson McBryde and Barbara Eastwood McBryde; his grandchildren, Michael John McBryde (Tiffany Long), Patrick Marvin McBryde (Erika Deal), Christina Ann "Chrissie" Ozuna (Brandon Ozuna) and Lynn Elizabeth McBryde; and his great grandchildren, Amelia McBryde, Theodore McBryde-Long and Oliver Ozuna.
He and Betty were active participants and supporters of Laity Lodge, the Christian camp and retreat in the Hill Country owned by the H-E-B Family Foundation.
