It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Harrell Jernigan (San Antonio, Texas), who passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kelly Jernigan and Ada Louise Jernigan (Harrell); his brother James Kelly Jernigan, Jr.; and his brother-in-law John Chester Park. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jernigan (McDowell); his children, Richard Jernigan, Jr. and Kimberly Jernigan; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lorena Vanbeuren (Villego), Wellsley (Vanbeuren), Brandon Van Horne, Mckennin and Hannikah Vanbeuren; his great grandchildren, Penelope, Samuel Van Horne and Elijah Vanbeuren; his sister-in-law Jean Park (McDowell); and his niece Pam Jernigan.
