He is survived by : his wife Elida Ortega Lopez; his children, Richard Ortega Lopez Jr. (Dolores Ann), Mari-Leigh Ortega Lopez (Raul Rene Carreon) and Gina Camacho Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Robert Camacho Rodriguez, Ian Mekhi Rodriguez (Robert L. Rodriguez), Kasey Riel Garza-Lopez, Richard Garza-Lopez III (Angel A. Garza) and Xavier Rene Carreon-Lopez; his stepgrandchild Gabriela Cruz Solis; his uncle Beto Juarez; his aunts, Maria Stanley, Lupe Velasco, Ernestina Mesquiti Candy Bustamante and Rosa Maria Jimenez; his siblings, Feliciano J. Lopez, Robert J. Lopez, Roland J. Lopez, Rocky J. Lopez, Rosalinda Lopez Guzman and Sylvia L. Garza; and his sister-in-law Antonia Sanchez. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
