He was predeceased by: his parents, William Donovan Middleton and Lillian Adell Ragsdale; and his stepfather Millard Buck Ragsdale. He is survived by: his sister Janice Marie Middleton; the mother of his children Kathy Alexis Reinke; his children, Richard Anderson "Andy" Middleton, Wade Hampton Middleton (Sarah), Roxanne Lingenfelter (Matthew) and Melanie Leigh Saffran (Justin); and his grandchildren, Caleb Saffran, Jason Rodriguez, Jared Middleton, Jade Middleton, Jasmine Middleton, Jacoby Middleton, William Lingenfelter, Samuel Lingenfelter and Alexander Lingenfelter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brooks Funeral Home (2950 E Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78202). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
