Takao of San Antonio, Texas, born in Ontario, Oregon, who passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Takao and Teru Takao; and his brothers, Victor, Carl and Alan.

He is survived by: his wife Lynda; his sons, Ryan (Cari) and Mike (Doreen); his grandson Nate; his brother Robert (Bobbi); and his sisters-in-law, Dee Ann Takao and Marsha Takao.

“Dr Takao had a tremendous impact on my life and training as a pediatrician. I felt so blessed to have him for my chief of pediatrics at BAMC. He was compassionate, caring, and loving to all he cared for over his lifetime. What a legacy for his family! I am so grateful for all he taught me. I am so honored to have worked with him. I remember sometimes the little children called him Dr Taco and that made him laugh. Lynda, you and your family remain in my thoughts and prayers. Sandi Khoury MD❤️”
