He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramiro Mendez and Sarah Mendez; and his brothers, Richard Ramiro Mendez and Joseph Paul Mendez. He is survived by: his wife Filomena M. Mendez; his children, Christina Mendez (Louie Uranga) and Marcel M. Mendez (Juanita); and his brother Manuel Edward Mendez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alamo Funeral Chapels (624 N Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78215). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
