Rolando C Gonzalez Obituary
Rolando "Roland" C. Gonzalez of San Antonio, age 68, was called home by our Lord on April 21, 2023. Roland was born August 7, 1954, to Lazaro and Leonor Gonzalez III in Cotulla, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Noel Gonzalez, Esmeralda G. Solorio and Dagoberto Gonzalez.
Roland is survived by his five children: Henry Ximenez (Liz), Adriana G. Pruden (Michael), Laura Patricia Rodriguez (Claudio), Orlando Gonzalez (Rubylee), and Ariana Rodriguez (Jose). He was a proud Grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Roland's surviving siblings are brothers Corando, Mario Alberto, Lazaro IV, Enrique, Mauro Gonzalez and sisters Roxann Soto-Serna, Zenaida Guerra, Leonor Gonzalez and Maribel Cavazos. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, his partner Laura G. Cuellar, his canine companion Bo, and many relatives and friends.
Roland was a loving Father, and his family meant the world to him. He spent many hardworking years as a plumber, but nothing beat his love of working on a ranch. He loved the country life, especially being outdoors. Roland had a heart of gold that reflected in everyone he met and was always willing to help however he could without any hesitation or a second thought. Roland will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Rest in Peace, Ride High Cowboy!! Funeral Services for Rolando C. Gonzalez are as follows: Visitation will be held at the Camero Funeral Home 20567 Hwy 16s Von Ormy, TX 78073 on Monday, May 1, 2023, between the hours of 2:00pm and 8:00pm. A rosary will commence at 6:00pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday May 2, 2023, at St. Clare's Catholic Church located at 7701 Somerset Road, San Antonio, TX 78211, with a 12:00pminternment service to follow at the First Memorial Park Cemetery 20567 Hwy 16s Von Ormy, TX 78073.
