He was predeceased by: his parents, Santiago Montez and Catarina Torres. He is survived by: his wife Maria Montez; his children, Santiago Montez, Valerie Montez Hernandez and Jerry Montez; his grandson Moses Hernandez, Jr.; his brothers, Vicente Montez and Vidal Montez; his daughter Eva Morales; his son-in-law Moses Hernandez, Sr.; his siblings, Daniel Montez, Josefina Martinez and Mary Cardoza; and his grandchildren, Dawn, Melanie Morales, Jerry Montez, Jr., Joshua Montez, Traci Montez, Jordan, John David Hernandez, Jodi Montez, Jaclyn Montez, Kristen Morales and Megan Hernandez. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Texas Funeral Home (2702 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237). A rosary will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
