She was predeceased by : her grandparents, Marcella Umberger and Clarence; her parents, Grace Tampke and Glen; her sister Janice Weatherford; and her granddaughter Julie Maxey.

She is survived by : her children, Christina Marple (Jerry), James Maxey (Jeanette), Dolsie McDonald (Dan), Justin Maxey (Danielle) and Jonathan Maxey; and her husband Johnny. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Freedom Hill Church (3950 Eisenhauer Rd, San Antonio, TX 78218). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
