He was predeceased by: his parents, William Halatin and Julia Halatin of New Jersey; and his wife Carolyn Ann Sharp Halatin. He is survived by: his son James Halatin (Amy); and his granddaughter Kaycie Halatin.

“We met Ted and Carolyn when they moved into Bel Meade and became our next door neighbors. What fun we had playing pranks on each other. They became great neighbors but more importantly, great friends. After Carolyn's passing Ted became one of our "check-on" neighbors.
