He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Cummings and Nellie Gray Cummings; his wife Pat Cummings; and his grandson Blake Thomason. He is survived by: his brother John Cummings (Jack); his children, John (Christopher), Linda Thomason (Tommy), Victoria McCulloch (Keith), Kathleen Fitzsimmons (Tom) and Carolyn Kiourkas (Nick); his grandchildren, Kimberly, Emilee, Wesley, Chelsea, Christine, Lindsey, Shauna, Steven, Mitchel, Ryan and Madelyn; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, James, Quinn, Margot, Harrison, Lucas, Saxon and Dylan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mission Park Funeral Chapels (3401 Cherry Ridge Dr, San Antonio, TX 78230). A rosary will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (4201 De Zavala Rd, San Antonio, TX 78249). A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
