She was predeceased by: her parents, Octaviano Loera and Manuela Loera; her husband Alberto Garza Sr.; her son Alberto Garza Jr.; her daughter-in-law Ruby Lee Garza; and her siblings, Raul, Graciano, Reymundo, Lucio, Rafael, Pedro Loera, Genoveva Loera Cisneros and Guadalupe Jaramillo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mely Ybarbo (Johnny), Lydia De La Rosa (Oscar Sr.), Norma Longoria (Robert) and Anna Munoz (Ciro); her grandchildren, Oscar De La Rosa Jr. (Alicia), JD De La Rosa (Jovanna), Debra Flores (Joe), Val Longoria (Elvia), Erik Longoria, Alberto Garza III (Vivian), Laura Guerra (Fred) and Krystal Lopez; her sisters, Felipa Loera and Consuelo Torrez; and her caregivers, Guillermina Cardenas, Paula Torres (Socorro), Yolanda Rodriguez, Egladelia Zamora, Carmen De La Fuente and Diana Zuniga. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home (1400 E Business 77, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (351 S Bowie St, San Benito, TX 78586). A burial was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mont Meta Memorial Park (26170 TX-345, San Benito, TX 78586).
