She was predeceased by: her husband Colonel Jose Rene Gonzales; her parents, Henry Ybarra and Rebecca Ybarra Balli; and her siblings, Henry Ezequiel Ybarra and Ruby Lee Garza.
She is survived by: her children, Ambassador Rebecca Eliza Gonzales and Jerome Rene Gonzales (Amanda); her grandson Imagine Alexander Gonzales; and her sister Aurora Alice Aranda (George). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
