It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe F. Pastrano Jr. of San Diego, Texas, born in Lockhart, Texas, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe B. Pastrano and Guadalupe Franco Pastrano; his brothers, Able Pastrano and David Pastrano; and his father-in-law Carlos Muñoz.

He is survived by : his wife Carrie Muñoz Pastrano; his sons, Joe Pastrano (Norma) of San Antonio and Dwayne; his siblings, Blondie Moreno (Snow) of Beeville, Eddie Pastrano (Patsy) of San Marcos and Jaime Pastrano of Denver, Colorado; his grandsons, Tyler Pastrano (Gabby), Nathan Pastrano, Justin Pastrano and Bailey Ramirez (Doroteo Jr.); and his great grandchildren, Laiden Pastrano, Jaiden Valerío, Leyah Trevíno and Doroteo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Garza Funeral Home (4571 S Farm to Market 1329, San Diego, TX 78384). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church (401 S Victoria St, San Diego, TX 78384). A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at the San Diego Cemetery.
