He was predeceased by : his parents, Felipe Rodriguez and Regina Trevino Rodriguez; his wife Elma P. Diaz; his siblings, Philip Rodriguez and Mary Rodriguez; and his brothers-in-law, Jose L. Garcia, Damas Rodriguez and Hector Campos.

He is survived by : his daughters, Angela Rodriguez and Darlene Rangel; his siblings, Catarino Rodriguez (Cynthia), Linda J. Garcia, Gloria Hinojosa (Sergio), Regina Rodriguez, Cynthia Saenz and Consuelo Campos; and his grandchildren, Jon Markus Rodriguez, Rolando "Rolly" Rangel Jr., Reuben "Zeth" Diaz (Amy) and Regeana Lomas (Michael). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
