She was predeceased by : her parents, Manuel Salinas and Maria Consuelo Vera Salinas; her husband Leonel Cantu Sr.; and her sister Beatriz S. Sanchez. She is survived by : her children, Leonel Cantu Jr. (Noemi), Reynaldo Cantu, Hermelinda Cantu (Jessica) and Anabel Cantu (Jessica); and her siblings, Omar Salinas and Katy S. Garza. She is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
