He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesus Salinas and Lazara Pruenda Salinas; his adoptive son Mark A. Salinas; and his siblings, Alejandro Salinas, Servando Salinas, Oscar Salinas, Juanita Gonzalez and Maria Longoria.

He is survived by : his daughter Adelita Rowland (Daniel); his adoptive daughter Mary E. Salinas; and his brother Reynaldo Salinas. He is also survived by four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.
