He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrudis E. Perez and Jose Perez, Jr.; and his siblings, Elena P. Solis (Felix), Lucia P. Lujan (Raymundo), Ernesto Perez and Gilberto Leon Perez, Sr. (Carmen).

He is survived by: his wife Irene Perez; his children, Willie Perez Jr., Annette Perez and Bonnie Seegers (Kelly); his grandchildren, Danielle Cherie, Alex Joseph, Bryan Dylan and Brandon William; his brother Arturo Perez (Gloria); and his sister-in-law Martha Perez. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
