We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2025, Petra Zavala of San Juan, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Petra shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Petra farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roberto P. Zavala; her parents, Ismael Lopez and Hipolita Lopez; and her siblings, Marcelino Lopez, Victoriana Lopez and Pedro Lopez.
She is survived by: her daughter Maria Isabel Zavala. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - San Juan (311 E Expressway 83, San Juan, TX 78589). A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (122 W Hawk Ave, Pharr, TX 78577). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the San Juan Cemetery (405 Cemetery Rd, San Juan, TX 78589).
