She was predeceased by: her parents, Danny Napper and Verna Mae Napper; her siblings, Ruby, Bill, Joe and Sandy; and her grandson Travis.

She is survived by: her husband Ross Doane; her children, Linda Porterfield (Lee), Allan Doane and Cindy Fornash (Robert); and her grandchildren, Jennifer, Chad, Kristine, Kelly and Casey. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Ross and Dorothy Doane Endowed Scholarship in Entrepreneurship at Texas State University.
