She was predeceased by: her husband Enrique Samuel Tamayo; her parents, Adolfo Gaitan and Rogelia Gaitan; and her siblings, Celestino Gaitan, Pedro Gaitan, Victoria Barrientos, Catalina Cervantes, Josefa Chaires and Jesusa Morales.
She is survived by: her children, Ernest Tamayo, Rudy Tamayo, Theresa Tamayo and Delia Domke (Kurt); her siblings, Adolfo Gaitan, Jr., Rosa Delgado and Julia Machado; and her grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Leonard, Jr., Sammy Ray, Ernest, Jr., Steven, Taylor, Katie, Wesley and Sheila. She is also survived by great grandchildren: 14; and with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at 9:00 PM and on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mission Funeral Home - San Marcos (300 Cheatham St, San Marcos, TX 78666). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (624 E Hopkins St, San Marcos, TX 78666). A burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Memory Lawn Memorial Park (19106 San Marcos Hwy, San Marcos, TX 78666).
