It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Hyink in San Marcos, Texas, who passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald William Hyink and Kathryn Elizabeth "Betty" Hill; and his brother Paul Hyink. He is survived by: his family, David Joiner and Kevin Gilley; his grandchildren, John-Tillman Gilley and Lauren Gilley of San Marcos; his family, Karol, Hollie and Sean Bussard of Austin; and his brothers, Jim (Carol) of Carrollton, TX, Peter of Austin and Tom (Becky) of Bentonville, Arkansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends who were his chosen family.
